About Mim Winter

Due to my training in two different types of acupuncture (both Chinese and Japanese styles) as well as Chinese Herbal Medicine, I offer a wide spectrum of services. By incorporating these multiple tools, I can treat a variety of health issues and provide a holistic treatment method to treat the body as a cohesive whole.

Years ago I was a patient of acupuncture and it helped me in so many ways. By the end of my undergraduate studies, I decided to attend graduate school to study the medicine so that I could help other people with their different health issues. I have such a passion for people and for practicing acupuncture, and I am very dedicated to improving the health and lives of my patients!

I received a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) after completing three years of studies and clinical work at the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA. I am a Massachusetts Licensed Acupuncturist (Lic.Ac) and Chinese Herbalist, and certified by the National Certification Committee on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
 
I graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and grew up in the Triton Regional School system. For college I did four years of undergraduate studies at the University of St. Andrews in St. Andrews, Scotland, UK where I graduated with a Masters in International Relations and Spanish.
 
I speak Spanish and lived in both Mexico and Spain. Travel is a love of mine so over the years I have travelled extensively around the United States and many other countries.

Being a lifelong athlete, I have a passion for sports and leading a very active lifestyle.
 

About the Office

My office is on the first floor, so it is easily accessible for everyone with difficulty walking.  There is plenty of parking in a lot just outside the door, and there is snow plowing in the winter months. (directions) 

The treatment rooms are very comfortable, quiet and relaxing, with soft lighting, warmth and an overall calming atmosphere where healing can begin.
